Description
The "Tropical Dry Forest Ecological Restoration – Phase II" project aims to restore and conserve degraded areas of tropical dry forest in the rural community of San Miguel, Bolívar, Colombia. Led by Fundación Bosque Vivo in collaboration with local communities and academic institutions, the project focuses on reforestation, biodiversity recovery, and sustainable land management practices.
Over a 20-year period, the initiative will implement native species planting, promote community engagement, and establish monitoring systems to quantify carbon sequestration and ecological impact. The project contributes to climate change mitigation efforts and supports local livelihoods through environmental education, training, and sustainable income opportunities.
